Supported Employment

Babcock Center helps individuals find meaningful employment in the community — allowing them to fully utilize their skills as active members of the workforce.

Our Supported Employment program:

  • Promotes self-worth
  • Provides structure and routine
  • Creates a source of income enabling greater choice for what to buy, where to live
  • Increases independence through daily interactions and life experiences
  • Encourages an inclusive Midlands workforce

Participants of the program will receive individualized, one-on-one support for:

  • Writing resumes
  • Submitting job applications
  • Interview preparation
  • On-the-job training
  • Ongoing performance coaching

Participants have found meaningful work in a wide range of roles serving various industries. Some of the most common areas for job placement include but are not limited to:

  • Carpentry
  • Assembly line operations
  • Bulk mail preparation and distribution
  • Courtesy clerks
  • Lawn care
  • Merchandise stocking
  • Custodial and janitorial services
  • Food and beverage services
